Full Scope Medical Care, Specialty Contact Lenses & Pediatrics | Milford, CT

Bright Eyes Eyecare & Contact Lens Center is an independent, OD-owned private practice in Milford looking for our next associate optometrist, 2-3 days/week to start with potential to grow to full-time as your patient base grows. We're looking for someone who wants to find their long-term practice home, rather than a short-term position.

Compensation & Benefits: $750/day base plus production bonus, 401k match and health insurance stipend. 

Hours: Typically 10am-6pm. No weekends. Schedule is negotiable, including shorter workdays if desired (pro-rated pay).

The Practice: We provide full scope medical and vision care, specialty contact lenses (sclerals, corneal GPs, ortho-K, myopia control), pediatric care, and surgical co-management including post-op light-adjustable lens (LAL) adjustments. Our optical carries fun independent frame lines and we have a great laid-back, friendly office culture. 

What we're looking for: We'd especially love to find someone with an interest in pediatrics and/or specialty contact lenses.  We're happy to provide mentorship and support if these are areas you want to grow into rather than something you already specialize in.  

Practice Flow: About 14-16 patients per day. 30 minutes for comprehensive exams, 15 minutes for follow-ups and medical visits.

Tech & Support: Technicians perform all pretesting and imaging.  3 exam rooms with modern equipment — Reichert VRx automated phoropters plus a manual phoropter for pediatric exams, Eidon Ultra WideField fundus camera with AF, iVue 80 OCT, Medmont Meridia corneal topographer, Radius XR visual field, iCare 200 handheld tonometer, and handheld autorefractors. Paperless charting with RevolutionEHR, e-prescribing, and Weave.

Insurance: Most major medical plans accepted; VSP and Eyemed for vision. Credentialing services provided.
