1 day/week Optometrist Position

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various eye conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care in our local community-oriented office. The Optometrist will also engage in patient education regarding eye health and vision correction options.

Duties

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with optical sales by recommending appropriate eyewear based on patient needs.

• Proficient in managing medical records while adhering to confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution
• Active CT state licensure
