We have a great opportunity for an optometrist who loves PEDIATRICS and would love to craft their own VISION THERAPY practice!

Our practice is set to move into a newly renovated 10,000 sqft building in late Summer / early Fall 2024 - and we've built room(s) just for YOU.

Our practice has been serving Plainville and its neighboring communities for 40 years, and continues to flourish. We have a very strong referral base of local pediatricians due to a lack of access-to-care for pediatric vision care providers. Where children come, their families follow! (And hopefully you will too.) We pride ourselves in providing compassionate, individualized eye care to the entire family, with the best technology available. A proud InfantSEE practice... we care for all family members including big brothers with myopia, moms with dry eyes and great-grandpas with glaucoma; we take care of them all, and would love for you to as well.

 While we have become a high volume practice, we manage to provide thorough care within an efficient office flow that patients appreciate.

Full-Scope Medical Eye Care 

• Treatment / Management of Ocular Surface Disease, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Acute Trauma and Urgent Eye Care
• Co-Management of LASIK, Cataract surgery, Pediatric Aphakia, Complex Corneal cases including CXL
• Amblyopia, Strabismus and Binocular Vision Disorders; While we do no presently provide in-house VT - we would LOVE to offer this to our patients
• Myopia Management: Atropine, Multifocal CLs, Orthokeratology
• Specialty Contact Lenses: Sclerals, RGPs, Hybrid, Pediatric Aphakia
• Refractions which may include prism; Recommendations for the best optical solutions for patients and their functional needs

Plainville is within the Greater Hartford Area, and has many surrounding towns that provide various levels of quiet and excitement. For the Ski, Nature and Hiking enthusiast there are many slopes and state parks throughout CT. For others who imbibe, there are many microbreweries and wine trails. If you need surf and sun, we are approximately 45 minutes away from the Long Island Sound beaches. For those looking for family friendly, great public school systems, West Hartford ranks in the top 10 in the country and is 15 minutes away. And lastly, if you need the sites and sounds of the Big City, both Boston and NYC are an easy 2 hour drive in either direction.  Education and Experience Required

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited School of Optometry
• Active License to practice Advanced Optometric Care in CT
• National Provider Identification (NPI)
• Any additional spoken languages (Polish or Spanish especially) are a bonus
• Accepting New 2024 Grads who are ready to get their feet wet!

Salary:
$130,000+ Base (+ Production Bonus)
